Family Fabrication - The Punisher

This machine was featured in the July 2010 issue of Dirt Wheels magazine. The Punisher, (appropriate name), was a family affair. John Lawson & son did all of the fabrication work, while his wife Julie did the polishing and bead blasting. (Cool wife!)

This Sportsman 700 was salvaged from a fire. The frame was toasted, no pun intended. As you can see, this family took the time, (along with a few friends), to build such a unique machine. One of the most unique features of this Sportsman, is that it has 4-wheel turning. John made his own spindles for the rears wheels to mount to so that they could turn in the opposite direction of the front wheels. John basically re-engineered the front & rear suspension and drivetrain.

The Lawson family would like to thank our very own Parts Pit Stop leader, Heather. John said, "Heather from Parts Pit Stop is awesome! She was always there helping my wife get the parts we needed!"

We're happy to have been able to help the Lawson's build the Punisher. If you need help building your unique machine, you can visit us at Parts Pit Stop or call us at 866-601-3827.
